Policy / effective 27 August 2026
Privacy, in plain language.
Focus Flow Map is local-first. Recording a route does not send the page, its content, or your interaction history to us.
What the extension stores
After you explicitly start a recording, the extension stores focus labels, structural selectors, viewport dimensions and positions, focus direction, timestamps, and automated observations in your browser’s local extension storage. It never reads or stores input values. URLs exclude query strings and hashes; long identifier-like path segments, email-like text, web addresses, and token-like text are redacted.
What leaves your device
Nothing from a focus session is transmitted by default. If you verify a Pro license, the token alone is sent over HTTPS to Sociobot’s billing API. Checkout is hosted by Sociobot/Dodo, the merchant of record, under their checkout privacy terms. This site uses no analytics, advertising pixels, third-party fonts, or tracking scripts.
Your controls
You can delete any session from the map view and uninstall the extension to remove extension storage. You can clear the website’s local storage to remove its cached license token. Exported files are controlled by you after download.
Permissions
activeTab and site access let the recorder observe focus only on the page where you start it. storage keeps maps locally. tabs opens the report and identifies the active page. Recording is never automatic.
